Continuing adventures with canned tuna: I didn’t have any good bread so I couldn’t make the pan bagne I’ve been obsessed with since L. made me one in Encinitas last month. So I took everything I’d put on the sandwich and put it in a bowl with like triple the arugula I’d put on a sandwich and ate it as a salad. Perfect. Just perfect. I forgot about boiled eggs but did have pickled beets, so that was a switcheroo. Next time, eggs. I ate on my couch watching an episode of Scandal thinking probationary faculty release time is the best thing about our latest hard-won contract.
